Main Street closed for concert

Main Street will be closed today between Monroe and Post Streets as workers ready the stage for a live performance by American Idol finalist Jason Castro.

The concert begins at 6 p.m., and is part of FanFest, a celebration of fans and supporters in town for the AT&T 2010 U.S. Figure Skating Championships at the Spokane Arena.

The road will remain closed until the end of the concert and the roadway has been cleared, Spokane police said.

The events run all week, for the during of skating events which conclude on Jan. 24.
